A4988 is a complete micro stepper motor driver with built-in converter, easy to operate. It is designed to operate in full step, half step, eight step, and sixteen step modes, with an output drive capacity of up to 35 V and ± 2 A. A4988 includes a fixed off time current regulator that can operate in slow or mixed decay mode.The translator is the key to easily implementing A4988. Simply input a pulse on a single step input to drive a microstep of the motor. No phase sequence table, high-frequency control lines, or complex interactive programs. The A4988 interface is very suitable for complex applications where microprocessors are unavailable or overloaded.
