LP4060A is a complete constant current and constant voltage linear charger suitable for single battery lithium-ion batteries. Its thin packaging and low external components make LP4060A very suitable for portable applications. In addition, LP4060A is specifically designed to operate within the USB power supply specifications. No external sensing resistor is required, and due to the internal MOSFET architecture, there is no need to block diodes. Thermal feedback regulation of charging current to limit mold temperature during high-power operation or high ambient temperatures. The charging voltage is fixed at 4.2V, and the charging current can be externally programmed using a single resistor. LP4060A automatically terminates the charging cycle. After reaching the final floating voltage, the charging current drops to 1/1 of the programmed value.
