LP4068T is a complete constant current/constant voltage linear charger. No external induction resistance is required, as the internal MOSFET structure does not require blocking diodes. Thermal feedback adjusts the charging current to limit mold temperature during high-power operation or high ambient temperatures. The charging voltage is fixed at 4.2V, and the charging current can be programmed externally through the ISET pin of a single resistor. After reaching the final float voltage, when the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set current value, LP4068T automatically terminates the charging cycle. Other features include a charging current monitor, low voltage locking, automatic charging, status pins, and battery temperature detection.
