LP5308 is a power switch device that provides sufficient protection for systems and loads that may encounter high current and input overvoltage conditions. This device contains a 135m Ω MOSFET that can operate in the input voltage range of 3.0V to 36V. When the voltage on the VIN exceeds the overvoltage threshold, OVP will disconnect the VIN and VOUT. External resistors can be used to set overcurrent protection. When the current reaches the threshold, the device will turn off the power field-effect transistor to prevent damage caused by excessive current. The switch is controlled by an active low logic pin. Integrated with hot shutdown protection, it can turn off the switch to prevent damage to parts when the temperature exceeds the threshold.
